Chime problem

Icon8 Chime problem

1996 xlt. When starting truck the damn thing chimes 5 times, pause then five dings again, pause for a total of 25 dings. This is separate from the door open ding. Any ideas? Driving me crazy. lol

I believe you can take the chime box out but it would be nice to figure the problem out lol anything else going on with the truck when this happens?

Everything seems normal and the chime doesn't come back until starting up again. Maybe I should just remove the chime box. Where is it located?

Its behind the radio or near it sorry not sure on the exact location, just follow the chime it's a small square black box.

It means there is something wrong with your air bag. I had same thing with a 1995 escort. I ended up pulling airbag fuse. Your air bag light may be burned out too.

Thanks for the help. I have to dig out the Ranger. It's buried in the snow. I'll let you know what I find.
