What if someone took a desktop plasma ball, like the kind you can plug into a USB port, took it apart, and somehow made it into a shifter ****? Screw it on somehow (likely fiberglass to mold it over a nut or something) and ran the wires down so when you flick the key on, it powers up into awesomeness.

 

Try it and let us know how it works. Pictures would also be nice.
