Icon4 Tire fit question!

I have a 2007 ford ranger sport 4x4 4.0 supercab. Looking to get a nice set of tires and rims and am looking for a decent stance. Getting a 3" front lift and 2" rear suspension lift and wondering if these will rub since they are 12.5 wide. I am looking to put 33x12.5/15 dick cepeks on and have 17x9, 16x9 size rims. Any help needed!!! What offset, backspacing to get the tires out about 1.5-2"

Well, first things first, I assume that 3" "lift" is after market torsion keys. DONT waste your money on them. They are garbage. 3" is way too far to adjust the factory suspension. Anything more than 1.5-2" and you need an actual lift kit (torsion keys are not a lift kit). You can get that 1.5-2" by adjusting your stock torsion keys. This saves you the upfront cost of purchasing the aftermarket keys, and saves you money in the long run because you won't be replacing CVs and balljoint every other oil change.

As far as tire sizes, you can fit up to a 33x10.50 or a 285/75/16 with a very healthy torsion bar crank. You'll probably have some rubbing at full lock with either of those though. This can be fixed by trimming some plastic in some strategic places. ( for more info on tire sizes, there is a chart of max tire sizes in the "wheels and tires" sub forum)

You're only actual lift options for a 1998 or newer 4x4 ranger are a 3" body lift or the 4" superlift.

Also, a 33/12.50/15 tire won't fit on a 16" rim.

Here's my truck back when I had the tbars cranked with 265/75/16 (32ish" tire) on 16x7 wheels with 4" of backspacing, and also with the 4" superlift and 33/12.5/15 tires on 15x8 wheels with 3.625 backspacing.

honestly I'd stick to 33x10.50x15, cheaper, lighter, and in the past have been easier to locate. I ran 33x10.50x15 on my stock FX4 Level II rims (15x7) with little rubbing except when going over bumps and dips at speed, causing the front suspension to cycle. Had no rubbing at full left to right lock, again, unless going over bumps and dips on stock suspension. Fortunately, and yet unfortunately I was able to source the RCD torsion bar to coilover kit. I recently moved and haven't dug out my ranger's binder, but the RCD kit instructions call for not using the stock rims on FX4 packages due to backspacing. Go too far out and as Jimmy has hinted, you'll be replacing balljoints with frequency. This same advise was given to me by the family friend that helped me install the RCD kit, based on his experience with a heavily modified 86 mustang and other vehicles.
