More power?

I'm wanting to increase the horsepower and torque in my 2000 ranger. Any ideas or suggestions as to what modifications I should do?

Well, a supercharger comes to mind... but quite costly I'm sure.

Short of serious engine modifications or buying a newer Ranger, there isn't a whole lot. A cold air intake would get you another 3 or 4 HP or so, that's nothing.

You can try the zip tie throttle cable adjustment. It won't get you more power, but it will make it more responsive if you have slack in your cable.
It takes five minutes and costs two or three zip ties. I did it to mine last spring and my truck is much more responsive.
