Air Deflectors
I am quite curious, what the purpose of having air deflectors is, around and in front of the radiator. Especially as depicted at this web site https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/ra...-air-6539843-1 and parts 8310A, B, C, and D. It would seem to me that these 'deflectors' are keeping air away from the radiator, instead of directing air to and through it. Especially as the 'cooling' aspect of the radiator, is at least half based on air coming at the vehicle from the front through the grill while driving.
I have since removed all these supposed air deflectors, so as to get a fuller force of air blowing on and through the radiator while driving. --I also removed all parts of air conditioning, including the condenser that sits in front of the radiator.
Then, if part 8310A is for 'deflecting' air, it would seem to me, based on its placement and the fact that it covers part of the bottom of the radiator; its more of a rock/pebble 'deflector' than for air.
