99 ranger 4.0 push rods

In the process of removing the head to replace with a new one I am wondering if I should replace the push rods? I replaced the lifters & push rods about 50,000 miles ago with Power Seal PS3332 rods . The overall length new are 5.648 and when I measured these the are between 5.645 & 5.646. Just wondering if that is acceptable wear or should they be replaced? Thanks_________

That's 3 thousandths of an inch over 50,000 miles _ that's not much.
I wouldn't worry about it.
What you're measuring is probably just break-in wear seating into the rocker arms and lifters.

Where are the original ones that came with the truck, what length are they ?

The old ones that came with truck got tossed as they had over 150,000 miles on them. Thanks

The only time when ever I replaced push rods is when they were bent from mechanical damage.
As long as the oil hole down the centre is clean.

I know I'm a month late, but figured I'd put my two cents forth. The only time I would replace push rods is if they were noticeably bent. Roll them on a glass surface, and you'll be able to tell if they are damaged or not. Luckily, if you want to replace them later on, they are fairly simple to remove.
