Heater Hoses question

My wife's 2003 XLT 3.0 starting to overheat. She wisely shut it down and called me. I refilled the radiator and instantly saw a small leak from one of the heater hoses right where it T's off. Since I need to replace one, I figure it's only smart to replace both hoses at once. I'm looking up the parts and I'm only seeing at set from Ford ($150+) or hoses by Dorman and Gates. The hoses from Dorman and Gates only list one hose. My question is ....are both of the hoses identical? Would buying two of the listed hoses be the correct purchase?

This is an example of what I have found at Rock Auto.....https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...438309&jsn=455

Any input would be appreciated.

You can make your own hoses or delete the "T's" if you are not located in the Northern US or Canada, even then its a toss up.

The smaller hoses go to upper intake manifold, they are there to prevent Icing in the throttle body in very cold weather, so have no effect on performance either way.

If current hoses are OK they may be long enough to cut and add metal barbed T or straight connection, the factory plastic connections will break again if replaced

In any case I would make these hoses using metal T's or hoses with no T's, your choice
This is one case where the "factory part" is not the better choice.
