There must be a way...
There must be a way...
I have been toying with this idea for a bit and I wanted to run it past y'all for your enlightened and entertainment. Would it be possible to mate a 2019 2.3T with a '99 host? Thanks for any and all feedback.
There is a 2.0l T ecoboost swap here: https://therangerstation.com/forums/...light=ecoboost
The 2.0l and 2.3l ecoboost were both Mazda L engine Blocks, Rangers got the non-turbo version 2.3l in late 2001, 2.3l Duratec engine, so starting with a 2001-2003 2.3l Ranger might be easier but not by much
And the 2.3l swap might be a bit easier from a Mustang since it is Rear Wheel Drive like a Ranger, 2.0lT, like in above swap, were all made for front wheel drive
2004 and up Rangers got digital dash interface so would add another layer of issues when swapping in ANY other engine

The 2019 Ranger will have the 2.3l ecoboost with 10 speed trans, won't be too long until there is a roll over or other, hopefully, non-injury accidents that put some in wrecking yards, and then as potential swap sources
2019 is a larger frame vehicle but the swap will be done, eventually
