HI: I have been looking for a 2005 Ford Ranger part number for the right and left hand plastic clips that hold the key lock rod and exterior door opening rods in the latch assm. We have a small dealership here and parts guy cannot find and neither can I. Please I have spent hours looking and can find good pictures but no part numbers, only a yellow box next to picture of what I need. The NAPA clips are too small and slip out of latch arm when clipped.

Looks like there was a change for some clips from 2003 to 2004

 

Sorry I forgot year, it is a 2005 Ranger super cab. I looked at the site and the shipping is high for a few clips at $8.95 for about $6 clips. OUCH.

 

Dorman makes those types of clips, and most autoparts stores carry Dorman, if you have a sample size or the one that too small you may be able to match the size

Ford often used A and B at the end of a part number to denote Left(A) and Right(B)

 

Found that page lots of times- the clip that fit on the key lock and includes the yellow and white tailgate clips, but no clips for the latch end of the rod . NAPA here has Dorman but they do not have a catalog, only card with samples and a rack of things like clips (all wrong). I have found the clips on Ford parts lists but with no part numbers (wtf) only a gold box next to part? what does that mean??
