Aftermarket Stereo Systems

I own a 95 and I was wondering what aftermarket stereo would best fit my truck that has either Bluetooth or an auxiliary port to play music through a phone or iPod?

Your 95 dash is identical to my 2003 dash, and I upgraded years ago to an Alpine unit with two subwoofers laying flat on back floor.

I used a regular "single DIN" size unit. No fancy touchscreen or GPS...just rockin' out my tunes.

They sell kits to facilitate the change of your stock unit to a newer unit everywhere.

A little trimming/filing may be necessary to your bezel but easily done.

If you DO want the touchscreen, you'll need a double DIN install kit.

You'll need to buy the harness separately. More trimming, too.

As far as an actual head unit brand? My Alpine has been running over a decade, meow.

Whatever you choose, don't go cheap on a 20-30 buck unit. I was foolish enough to try it out on my beater Honda, and it works...then it doesn't...then it works...then it doesn't...then more quickly on the frequency and volatile mood of the damn thing.

Think about your speakers, too. If they're stock from 24 years ago, then yeah.

Mine are 6" x 8". I think yours may be, as well. Here are some choices:

Shop around. Read reviews. Ask local shops. You don't HAVE to get a $1500+ unit. My setup costed 700 back in 2009 including the amp and two subs. Gotta feel that kickdrum

Or if your stereo works for you and you're not in a metropolitan area you can just add the capability with a $15- $30 bluetooth transmitter

I use one every day on the ride to work. It let's me play music from the phone and answer phone calls as well. Since FM traffic is fairly sparse where i live I don't get any interference at all.
