I just put a new pump in last week and flushed everything. It gets louder as I accelerate.. My buddy says it could be the steering box. I'm thinking that or maybe an idler pulley went bad? What do y'all think?

 

New fan belt and tensioner

Paint or rough up all pulleys with scotch bright or Emory cloth

Smooth pulleys are NOT good, friction is your friend on pulleys, fan belt can only turn a pulley without slipping(squealing) if it has a GOOD GRIP which is friction and being TIGHT

If belt is new pull it off and have a look at it, shinny spots are BAD, rough them up if possible
