Az or texas cooling issue
So i have a 3.0 and live in arizona phx area hot as heck here i was looking for a upgrade for my radiator and seen a post about it on here a guy was tryiing to put in a radiator out of a 98 explorer with a 5.0 never found anything if it worked or not which is a 2 tow and a little over 2" thick guess what it does slides rite in and bolts up zero mod except removing rubber pad for the mounting arm coming off rad tank with a 16" and 10" tourque flow elec fans keeps the truck nice and cool in this blazing a$$ heat i guess this would be a follow up but cant find the previous advertisement
Honestly the engine needs to run at a certain temp. The larger radiator will still let the engine run at the normal operating temp. It would only help to keep it from getting hotter. The A/C system is different. And as long as you are moving about 20 mph or more you are putting more air through the radiator and A/C condenser that any fan could do. You limiting factor is the condenser. You would need a larger condenser to really make a difference. You also need to first make sure the radiator is not blocking any airflow.
I live in far west Texas. Our summers are nearly as hot as yours. I have a 1998 4 cyl 2.5L and the wife has a 1999 3.0L and they both have nice and cold A/C. Some of the hottest days take it a little longer to cool down but you also need to remember if it's 110 outside the heat coming off the pavement can be 160 to 180+ and all that heat is going into the front of the truck as you drive.
