Boosting the 2.3 duratec

Necessities-
1. 2.5 duratec injectors are fine up to 340 HP
2. larger cooling
3. larger fuel pump capable of up to 340 HP or more the stock pump is good up to about 266 depending on model
4. Welding capability
5. 2.5" exhaust
6. port and polish or 2.5 head swap
7. inter cooler (cannot be done without)
8. lower temp thermostat or tune for electric tstat for 225 degrees ( too cold and you wont have a very good ignition)
9. Larger cat
10. about 3500$ to spend for new parts or however cheap from donor vehicles, a good ratio for this motor is .47-.5 AR as that is the sweetspot, unless you plan to run an idle of 2600 and large cams you can go bigger
11. anything over 8-9 psi will need forged internals as i recall most or all ranger cranks are forged, having it properly shaved and balanced will go a very long way in the rev department along with other internals

will be posting my complete build thread soon this year
