1994 Ranger: center caps over the hubs looked awful- the chrome was peeling off the gray/white plastic. E-Z fix: peeled off the chrome, sanded them down & painted them black (taped over center circle). Made a big difference in the look of the wheels. Also blacked out my grayish/silverish grill.

 

I've definitely got this problem, I think I'll tackle it this Spring. Do you have any pics?

 

 

Also did the grille and chrome upper lip in black.

 

Side benefit. Those are just 14" rims. This ranger's wheels always looked puny, esp. compared to my other ranger's 15 inch rims. Well the wheel isn't any bigger, but somehow the black alloy combo made up for that in appearance.

 

That looks really nice! I'm thinking of blacking out the rims as well as the caps, but I do like the way yours turned out.
