Greetings! New member here.... I searched and couldn't find a similar scenario, so my question is...

I have a 1999 Ranger flare side ( 153k, fiberglass topper, minimal rust, ) with a bad transmission (got it diagnosed and 3rd gear is gone, so it needs a rebuild
or a new tranny.

MY QUESTION: I have no idea what to try to sell it for! Scrap yard offered me 750$ ( I would part out the topper and sell myself IF I go that route)
But everything else is strong on this truck... I feel it has a lot of life left if someone has the means to replace the tranny themselves. I bought a new
vehicle, and this has to go either way... But Im trying to decide ballpark what a 99 XLT 4.0 would sell for with a bad transmission. ..
Any estimates? can I get 1200? or is it not worth the hassle and scrap 750$ it is?
