Hello all, I am trying to replace my Flowmaste muffler. New muffler Inlet and Outlet is 2.24. But how do I find out what size is my 2005 Ford Ranger Xlt 3.0l V6 Auto exhaust is?? What connector do I need to connect the muffler to it?

 

Factory exhaust pipe diameter at the muffler is 2.25 for this year for V6's. But no telling what was used for your modified exhaust with the addition of the flowmaster. Flowmasters chambered mufflers come in 2.5 in smallest diameter.

Your best bet is to measure. Piping comes in 2 inch, 2.25, and 2.5" diameters.

Lets see a pic. No telling how your exhaust was modified. Lets hope its not a mess.

 

Sometimes, just having a muffler shop do the work is the best option.
