First time posting and yes I’ve read every article I possibly could on this matter but I’m getting conflicting information from all the different forums
what se Seat Seat Seat Seat
ats will bolt him to my Ford Ranger yes we can change the track if we need to we can make adaptions if we need to but what are the simplest cars I know they speak about Explorers but there’s mixed information on what explorer seats will work your model wise etc. I would love to have explore seats with the center console but also I know mustangs etc. so what year models will fit into my 2001 single cab with split bench I believe it’s called because it’s not a single bench thank you so much for the information I really appreciate it
Probably not conflicting info more like not specific because you will be dealing with multiple "models" and years, Explorer had at least 2 models every year sometime 3 and several optional seats
As did Rangers every year, lol
You have whats called 60/40 seats these replaced Bench seats except for some "fleet" models(very very basic Rangers)
So Rangers had buckets with center console or 60/40 seats, same for Mazda B-series trucks
Explorers all had buckets with center console
Easiest thing is to use your current tracks on new seats, as they match the holes on the floor so just plan on that
Most seats are bolted on to the tracks with 4 bolts, but Ford started welding them on in the early 2000, but just at the 4 places so not hard to cut the welds and drill holes
Explorers didn't have fold forward seats to access behind the seat because they were 4 door, the Sport version(2 door) had passenger side that slide and folded forward to access the back seat, but not on drivers side
Explorers also tended to have thicker seat backs so may not slide back as far in regular cab Ranger
As said not every year/model Ranger has been tested with every year seat from every Ford(or chevy, lol) model, so unless it's been done before, matching your year/model Ranger, then its all new territory
You can use flat steel stock to match any seat to Ranger tracks, just need to do some drilling, and make sure you can close the door when wider seat is installed, lol

This is a good place to search your area/zipcode, to find seats from a Ranger or explorer or ??
i.e. use 1999 Ford Explorer seats, should show other years that match as well, and usually has pictures of whole vehicle, including seats
