Caliper Mounting bracket bolt
Caliper Mounting bracket bolt
I have a 2010 Ford Ranger xlt 4x4 v6 4.0 and the mounting bracket bolt for the driverside caliper is missing. I can not find that bolt anywhere online for sale. The latest model websites have for sale is for the 2009 ranger. My question is, will the 2009 caliper mounting bracket bolt fit my 2010?
I'm assuming you're referring to the front.
This is actually a common problem when the caliper mount bolts don't have enough loctite on them. They vibrate loose and back themselves out until they say goodbye.
Because it's such a common issue, most auto parts stores actually carry a pack of two bolts in the HELP! sections. They're usually black or silver with red loctite on them.
I'm not familiar with the 2010-2011 braking systems, so can't tell you for sure whether they will work for you, but it's worth a shot since they're less than $10.
