Hello,

Love rangers and would really like one, only problem is I’m not sure if it’ll suit my needs. I’m looking to be able to tow a 1,700 pound trailer down forest service roads (within reason) and am wondering if a 2005-2011 ranger could handle this. Heard from elsewhere it’s better to go with a different truck but hoping that was just bad advice. Thanks!

 

A 4.0 sohc ranger would do it all day long. 2001± year models. Not knocking other engines...
