I know fusible links have been beaten to death in the forums but after searching previous posts for the last hour I can't seem to find a picture of the link from a 2007 with a 4.0. I have the usual problems... battery light is on, battery is good, replaced the alternator, B+ tests ok but the green wire in the three wire harness on the alternator is suspect. Went in search of the fusible link and after cutting into the wiring harness found this wire covered in green foam. Can anyone confirm if the orange wire in this picture is the fusible link? I talked to a Ford dealer parts dept. and they no longer stock fusible links ... any thoughts on what to repair this with if it is the link? Thanks!
