Didn't know where to post this question. Just wondering what this hole is for on a 2000 3.0 4x4 flex fuel automatic. It is on the top of the dash on my Ranger, and I checked my friends exact same Ranger, and he has one too? Just curious as I always am. Hopefully I attach my picture lol.

 

Could be for a "daylight" sensor, for automatic lights

 

Thats what it looks like to me. Been driving it for 3 1/2 years and never noticed it lol.
