Front Passenger Wheel makes squealing sound when break and/or wheel assembly heats up
2003 Mazda B3000 3.0 V6 Flex 2x4
Hello, a couple months ago I replaced front pads, rotors, and calipers, wheel bearings/rings. Now after driving 20 mi or so the front passenger side wheel makes a squealing sound.
At first I thought it might be the abs sensor scraping against the rotor reel on the back of the rotor. Moved it back a bit with some washers and still same problem.
Then I thought the dirt shield maybe got bent a little while replacing the break hardware so checked that and it was a bit bent on one end so I moved it back a bit but same issue.
I double checked everything and lubed/tightened everything according to spec. I did most of it by the book.
the wheel has no play at 12/6 o'clock and 3/8 o'clock. And when on the road the wheel doesn't make a hard rumble like when the wheel bearings or spindle is bad or going bad.
The only thing I can think of that can be the issue is a faulty caliper piston that once it heats up doesn't retract all the way or the hub assembly bearing/seal or the bearing seal on the back of the rotor ( I made sure to tap it down even and flush but sometimes they pop out a little bit and this would cause the metal rim of the seal to scrape against the hub. But wouldn't it always make this sound if this were the case? hot or not).
To be fair, this truck was towed without the passenger side wheel on so it's possible that whoever towed it let it drop on the hub assembly and could've made something crooked inside.
the hub might start to wobble and scrape against something when it heats up?
In theory of course.
I definitely don't want to have to take everything apart to replace the hub or do anything unnecessary.
Any ideas what can be causing this noise when stuff heats up?
On cold day or in the morning it takes longer before it start to make the squealing noise.
