On 97 3.0 splash thieves have cut from above the Y pipe down to diff. Cant find O.E. replacement so have cobbled enough pieces to get to work except the downstream 02 sensor, (just two wires hanging). Engine wont idle and cant buy exhaust pipe with 02 fitting. Can I omit sensor somehow? Thx, Tom

 

Feel your pain\anger. Can't help with Fitting\Sensor problem; perhaps a local exhaust shop can weld a fitting in place for you.
Got my CatCons wrapped with heavy SteelChain & QuickLinks\TurnBuckles tightened with LokTite, to at least slow\discourage thieves.
CatCons haven't been bothered now after several years, but also avoid questionable neighborhoods & keep vehicles garaged at night.
My main worry is during cccasional road trips & hotel\restaurant\store parking lots that are easy targets for thieves.
