please help identify this fuel line. can't find anywhere
i cannot find this fuel line anywhere. I look for fuel rail lines, or even the fuel rail itself but cannot find it anywhere. it is leaking from the top where it connects to the fuel rail. If i cannot not find this fuel line is there some universal hose i can use that will allow it to pass California smog? i just bought the truck and has been on non op for about two years. any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry i forgot to add this is a 2002 ranger 2.3l five speed manual trans.
Are you sure which part is leaking or could it be the o-ring?
Google: Fuel line removal - Ford 2.3L Ranger/Mazda B2300
Watch the video on disconnecting this fitting
Reason being, you may need to go to a wrecking yard to get a replacement hose as the part number for it looks to be discontinued
Part number I found is F87Z-9G271-HA which may or may not be the right one, as it is "F87" which means it was first made in 1998 for Ranger

thank you very much, i am going to take the line out and take it to auto zone and see if maybe they have an o-ring kit i can use. i would prefer to buy the line brand new but cant find it anywhere. the junk yards out here in my area don't have any mazda's or fords, i cant even get the line from them.
Not sure never had the pleasure of that fix
I would first take the fitting apart and see what there is to see, as far as why its leaking, i.e. hose leaking or fitting leaking
A good site for used parts is: https://www.car-part.com/

Fuel Rail(& misc) <<<<the part
USA
Sort by distance

Search

Select 2.3l engine

Should see some yards with some fuel system parts, based on your Zipcode
Never had a 2.3l Duratec engine so can't say if that one hose is part of the injector rail or if it can be removed from the rail, you should be able to look at yours to see if there is another "quick connect" fitting at the other end
You can Google: Ford fuel line quick connect repair
Lots of DIY stuff out there
Rangers use 5/16" Nylon fuel lines, but some fittings ends 5/16" or 3/8", but the hose itself is 5/16"

Never changed the o-ring on that type of connector, so not sure of the process
I found a video for fuel filter connectors, Google: Parts Inside Ford Fuel Filter Quick Disconnect Fittings. Repairing fitting.
Dorman sells Fuel Line O-rings, 5/16" and 3/8"

Thank you. I found one that looks like it should work, part# 800-949 from Dorman. Can i reuse the same molded line, or should i just buy a rubber fuel line and replace it?
