Since I bought my 2006 Ranger about 8 years ago it's always lugged a bit with the A/C on but, yesterday it really lugged down where I had to shut it off just
to get up to speed. I'm going to check the air filter but, if it's not that what could it be? BTW, I recently (within several months or more) had a tune up.
And just a few weeks ago had all new tires put on and front end alignment done (which I really doubt has anything to do with the problem, just thought I'd mention it).
Not really farmilliar with these new fangled engines, I've always work on carberated V8's and this has the itty bitty 2.3L 4 cylinder.
Oh, one more thing, I've used seafoam in the past with good results but, haven't in about 5 years and put a jar/can of it in a full tank a week ago.

Well, it's been a week or more since I post about my problem and thought one of you guys might know what it could be, reckon I was wrong.

 

For those who wanted to help but, didn't have an answer for me, I believe my A/C compressor may be the trouble. I can use the A/C at highway speeds but, around town once the
the A/C unit gets hot it starts to really pull on the engine, the compressor maybe in the beginning of seizing up becuase when its off and the clutch is disengaged there's no problem.
