Hello, I gave a 97 ford ranger 4.0l v6 xlt and I’m tackling this idle issue. When I turn it on when it’s cold it does fine but when it’s warm and I turn it on it idles up and down a bunch and sometimes turns itself off. Driving is fine other then when coming to a stop at a light it almost sounds like it has a cam in it. Sometimes I press the gas after a stop a bit and the rpm’s rev up to more than a thousand and stays there for a bit until idling back down. I tried to check for vacuums leaks with break cleaner and could not fine anything. Just woundering if anyone has had the same issues. Thank you.
