hello everyone
recently picked up a beautiful green ranger low miles but blown intake manifold gasket under the fuel rail when i pulled injectors i found they were bmw injectors with ruber adaptors on the ends which were cracked on need to be replaced should i get new ruber seals or should i get proper injectors? not sure if an automatic engine should have swaped injectors like this or not

So, you've never seen this truck run well?
Do you have any history on the truck or knowledge of this mod? I assume fitting BMW injectors was a modification.
Perhaps checking the compression in an old engine would be a smart thing to do. Since you're tearing into this, you might as well know as much as you can beforehand.

I don't know if BMW used the same injectors, but I doubt it because of the "rubber adaptors".
I'd think going with original designed parts would be the way to go with a 33-year-old truck.
Was the engine tuned to work with these BMW injectors?
