ABS + Brake Light On
ABS + Brake Light On
Both my ABS and my Brake light stay on on my 1999 Ranger 3.0L RWD.
I had a seized front caliper that I thought might be the issue so I replaced it, and replaced the ABS sensor on the differential but it stays on (even after disconnecting battery for awhile if that might reset it).
I bought an ELM reader with FORScan based on some other advice I saw, and what most surprised me was there was no ABS module found when I did the scan, just OBD, GEM and some other one. The codes that popped up on GEM were for the wipers. Is it normal to not detect an ABS module? Or is it possible that because I can't, that means it's broken and that's the problem?
What are the other ways I can try and determine the root cause of the ABS and Brake lights being on if scanning to pull codes doesn't work?
