So I have my o3 ranger xlt 4.0. I turned the dial to 4hi and the light came on then turned off, It didn't feel like the 4wd engaged at all. I can put it in 4low and it works like it should although it is slow to go back to 2wd. I have been reading and have seen many 4low not working but not the other way around. Thanks for the advice in advance.

 

well I did some investigating. The ranger is staying in 4hi but the light is shutting off. I hear all the clicks and moving parts and can tell while reversing with the wheels turned it is in 4wd. I guess I will figure out why the light is off at a later date.
