I've bought an 02 ranger XLT 140k miles on it about a year ago and ever since I've chased my tail trying to get it running right. It runs really rich, has been spitting some black specs out the tail pipe, and bogs down when trying to accelerate. Replaced spark plugs(which were fowled bad), the idle air control valve, and mass air flow sensor and still misfiring and running bad. Took it to a mechanic and he replaced 2 of the 02 sensors, checked fuel pressure(which was good) and said they fixed a ground issue with the 02 sensors but still got it back in the same misfiring condition but now sometimes when you put it in gear it wont shift out of first gear a redlines until you cut it off and back on??

After my mechanic checked the new mafs and it is good, good fuel pressure from pump, and good iacv we came to the conclusion its possibly a bad computer? And the bad computer isnt working together with the mafs etc and the fuel to air ratio is off and making the truck misfire/run like crap lol. Any help here is greatly appreciated because I've been at this thing a while and just can't seem to put my hand on the problem. Thanks 🙏!!!!
