5" lift for 2009 ranger sport 2wd

Hi, I have recently been looking at lifts for my 2009 ranger sport 2wd and I want to go with a 5 inch lift to clear 33's. I know that this is a 4wd lift but I have been reading through a lot of forums and I've seen some people say that the 2wd sport front suspension is the same as the 4wd because it's a torsion bar style. It's all kinda confusing so I just wanted to clarify. Thanks

When they say that the front suspension is the same between Edge/Sport 4x2 and 4x4 trucks, it means that they both have the same frame and torsion bar front suspension. However, the way the front wheels mount to the steering knuckle is VERY different between the 4x2 and 4x4 trucks, and it's why you can't just bolt on a 4x4 suspension kit like the one you posted. The kit will technically bolt up to your truck, but without the front axle, it's pretty pointless.

The 4x2 guys run lift spindles, which are designed for a 4" lift. This is more than enough to clear 33's, and it's cheaper.
