2005 Ranger Edge. Need help identifying these hoses connect to!

Hello everyone!

I'm new and recently bought a used 2005 ford ranger edge 4x4. the engine was out when i decided to rebuild it. Now that I'm putting it back together I have to extra hoses that I can't figure out where they connect! The one marked epdm had a small tag that fell off. the other hose I can't find out for the life of me where to connect! Any help is appreciated.

1 of 2 hoses i dont know where it connects to.

Second hose i cant figure out where to connect.

Tag fell off the second hose from above.

Not sure where this goes either.

Overview of the rebuilt motor.

Driver side overview.

You said, "... the engine was out when i decided to rebuild it." Did you remove the engine or had that been done?
I'm thinking you might have a leftover, thus duplicated, part.

The large, L-shaped hose in the 2nd photo looks like the PCV hose which goes from the PCV valve (at the rear of the left valve cover) to the intake.

The aluminum pipe in the 4th photo is a heater which sets in a groove molded into the PCV valve.
Several people have ridiculed this "PCV valve heating loop" as an ineffective waste of time and material.

Hot coolant comes through the long, unattached pipe in the 1st photo, to that aluminum "heating yoke".
You must run it under the wires and other stuff at the rear of the engine to reach.
Attached to the other end of that aluminum pipe is the return.

It's actually really difficult to see as this (the PCV, the heating yoke and its hoses) is against the firewall.
Really get your head in there and you'll see.
Use a good flashlight and remember, if it's really bright outside, your vision under-hood is compromised.

Hi Georgeandkira
So the first pic hose, i need to connect the bent metal fitting and swing it to the back of the motor where there is another hose that may be loose to connect to?

The second hose pic is actually a rubber hose and not hard plastic like the one that goes to pcv on the valve cover. That one I have it connected.

There's one port on the intake thats not connected to anything yet. Close to the throttle I have a series of heater and vacuum ports. Its the smallest one sitting above them. Any idea which line connects to it? Sorry I don't have a pic right now.

The motor was pulled already but the owner said its not a donor.

The bent metal fitting -a heating pipe which wraps partially around the PCV valve- has a return hose.

Is the mystery series trident shaped? Close ups available?

ok if I understood you correctly. The hose im holding on pic1, I have to connect the metal heating pipe and wrap it around the pcv valve behind the valve cover and then connect another rubber line? That might be my second pic of the rubber hose? Question is where does that end connect to ?

The trident connector is attached on the pic. What line goes there? And where does the other end connect to? Thanks again!
