Bypassing the PATS in 2011 Ford Ranger

Someone stole my truck along with the key. While it was stolen someone else tried to steal my truck from them. The second thief did not have a key and attempted to start the truck with a screw driver. I located my truck and had it towed back to my house but now I have no key for it. Is there a way I can bypass the PATS so I can crank it? Right now anything will turn the switch. Someone said I could use a paperclip or a resistor but I don’t know exactly which wires to jump. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There is no MacGyver solution to bypassing PATS. Your best option is to have a locksmith rekey the doors and ignition and reprogram the computer.

^ Correct. I'm not even sure how somebody stole it since PATS will disable the fuel injectors if it doesn't see the correct code from the key. So either they towed it, somehow found a key, or used some form of cloning software that picked up the code from your keys through a window.
