Hey guys just joined the group, I got a 2009 extended cab ford ranger XLT with a 4.0L SOHC 4x4, motor has 411’000kms lol finally blew up so I pulled the the block, put new used motor back in with 180000kms from the same model and year truck, I had it running for about 20 minutes it was idling good no issues had it running at 2500rpm to get to operating temp then I let off the gas’s and it died. Tried to start it again and weak spark, it had intermittent spark for a while now nothing, has fuel and air changed all the sensors out with new ones, crank, cam, MAFS, TPMS, new coil, new wires plugs, still nothing, looking into a new PCM soon but I’m seeing all this trouble with the PATS security system the trucks have, any insight would be appreciated my trucks been off the road for 5 months!
