Door ajar light on and won't shut off.

Door ajar light on and won't shut off.
1997 Ford Ranger XLT 2 door, 4.0 ohv, automatic transmission, 2 wheel drive, 125" wheelbase.....
The door ajar light is lit on in the instrument cluster stays on or illuminated while engine is running and vehicle is driving, thus interior dome light is on as well.
When I open the driver door, I receive a door open chime, when I open the passenger door, no open door warning/chime. Could my problems be in the passenger door? Door jamb switch? I think there are like, 2 or 3 switches in the doors, I could be wrong...
