I recently got a brand new Mazda vvt 2.3 head for my 2.3 Ranger. Found it on marketplace from a guy who swapped his engine and bought a new head for his old one and was selling the head. Looks perfect. I figured that they would be interchangeable because it had the exact same casting number (#3S4G). But it turns out the head I bought is a vvt version with vvt cam gears. Can I swap the cam gears and be fine? Do I need to plug anything in the head? Will my cam sensor be messed up? Anything helps, thank you.
