Rough Idle 2
This is kind of a part two to an ongoing issue. Working with a 2002 Edge with the 4.0 and i have a rough idle. I started out with a crank intermittent start issue. This whole time there has been no CEL either. Below is the history of events of things I have tried and tested;
1 Changed plugs and wires. Did not change coil pack but getting spark at every wire
2 Changed the Crank Position Sensor
3 Thinking vacuum leak (rev to 2000 RPM's and runs great) so put smoke in there and it was leaking out of both sides of my my throttle body at the butterfly pivots. replaced throttle Body and re-tested with smoke, no vacuum leaks. but did not fix the issue.
4 Unplugged IAC valve while running, ran worse. Pulled it off and cleaned it, reinstalled, no change
5 Pulled EGR valve, tested, held vacuum and allowed fluid through, so functioning properly, cleaned and reinstalled
6 check EGR solenoid, tested good and functioning properly
7 was told if I clamped the hoses for the brake booster and no change then no vacuum leak within it
8 replaced PCV valve
9 Changed fuel filter
10 Checked and tested O2 sensors, all good.
11 tested MAF and it is good
What's next?? Thanks for the help!!!

Do a common compression test.
Do single cylinder leak-down tests as needed.
With the cylinder at TDC and valves closed, you pump air into the cylinder.
You listen at the intake for a burnt intake valve, you listen at the exhaust pipe for a burnt exhaust valve, you listen at the oil fill for really bad rings.
Did you try dosing the fuel with Techron before a stint of local driving?
