My Ranger (218k miles) has a radiator fluid leak. It has a new radiator just installed but still a leak somewhere. There are discussions that it may be the water pump (have a new one about to be installed) but also maybe the gasket from the timing chain cover which is near the Water Pump. A very trusted mechanic has informed me that sometimes bolts in older engines break apart the 1st time they are loosened after being on for so many yrs which of course, this one has as it's a 2003 w +218k miles. He suggested I post on here so maybe someone would have had experience as to what to expect should that timing cover gasket need to be replaced. All responses & questions are appreciated. Thanks!!
