A/C Orifice Tube
Hello:
I have a 2003 Ranger (extended cab) 4.0L with A/C. It's a 5-speed in case that's a factor. I am replacing the orifice tube in the A/C system. All the parts stores' application charts for orifice tubes indicate that the color code of the orifice tube for a Ranger is Red. The orifice I removed from my system is Brown. As far as I know, my A/C system has never been opened, so I believe that my Ranger was built with the Brown orifice.
Can anyone confirm for me what is the correct color code for the orifice?
