Constant Flasher On
Constant Flasher On
Hello All,
I'm new here and I'd like to pick some brains. I inherited a 2010 Ranger, V6 XLT 4dr from my late father and I've had it now for about a year and a half, Been kind of a project, as it wasn't in terrible shape, but needed some upgrades and TLC. One of the first things I did was replace with LEDs all throughout. Been using an outfit called Diode Dynamics for the replacement LEDs, so not crap. Replaced the E27 flasher with the LEDs, and all has been fine until now. I was driving it just recently and I heard a constant flasher clicking like my hazards were on, but were not. It is incessant and definitely the flasher that's making the noise. Funny thing is, everything works fine, turn signals, high beam, hazards, ww functions. So thinking it was a bad flasher, I had a warranty replacement for the flasher. No joy. Rather than replacing the multifunction switch right away, I thought maybe it was the connectors to the switch as the wires can sometimes be compromised due to steering wheel adjust. I replaced the whole wiring harness inside with a known working one, and still have the issue. Multifunction switch works fine, but constant flasher clicking. Any ideas? Could it still be a bad multifunction switch? It's like Chinese water torture, and I can't turn the stereo loud enough.
