Transmission Question

2001 Ranger 3.0 RWD. Did a transmission filter/fluid change today, and got it about 1 quart too full. Will that do any harm? Thanks.

I’m not a tech but just a diy guy so I don’t know much but Transmission fluid should be in the range on the dipstick. It’s tested when the transmission fluid is warmed up. Too much could cause seals to leak. You should try to extract that quart using a pump through the dipstick tube. Harbor Freight sells a cheap one for about $7. I think it’s called a siphon pump and has a little hand squeeze bulb. This way you won’t have to drop the pan again.
