Want to hook up a brake light to a new canopy. I can tap into the rear brake light, but I hear that may be also tied to the turn signals, which will make the canopy brake light wonky. Any better place to tap into for a new canopy brake light?

If you existing brake light were connected to a turn signal, it would flash just like the turn signal.

 

That's my thought, but I'm just relaying what I've heard others say. Black is ground- know which is what as far as brown and brown/yellow?

 

One will be the brake light, the other the marker light. A voltmeter will tell you which is which.

I hooked mine up to the 3rd brakelight on the back of the cab.
