Engine turns over 5 to 7 times but will not start at first. Then it will start. Once it starts it runs fine and starts fine all day long. First start of the day, turns over and over then finally starts. First thing of the day, fuel pressure is 0. Turn key on above 60psi. Running above 60 psi. I don't think it's a fuel pressure issue. Any ideas of what to check. No codes at this point. I did clear an evap code. New gas cap and it did not come back on. Was running fine during this code. Any ideas on where to look now.

 

Cycle the key on and off a few time in the morning after sitting all night. If it fire up after that, then its the fuel pump regulator. Which mean you will need to replace the fuel pump..

 

I've cycled the fuel pup several times. It builds fuel pressure with key on. I'm going to put an inline check valve on the fuel line and see what happens. Also going to check spark when its not starting up. What do you think would be turning off ignition or injectors? Reminder. Runs fine otherwise.
