Icon13 Power steering fluid leaking still after replacing the reservoir.

Só my power steering fluid has leaked for the last month or so. Finally getting around to dealing with it, i changed the power steering reservoir with all of the rubber rings on the hose and around the power steering pump. It was leaking really bad when i finished. I struggled to get the reservoir on around the rubber ring but was able to get it on and as tight as i think you can go so that the hose can fit back on. I noticed also that the color of the power steering fluid is like dark gray even with putting brand new fluid in it, it just turns dark gray like something is getting into the reservoir. I am at a loss for what to do. I am not an experienced mechanic. I follow YouTube videos to fix my truck lol. After getting underneath the truck there is fluid all over the place and i could see a really clear line of fluid leaking from somewhere near the reservoir yet not from the hose or line. Did i not put the reservoir on tight enough? Or maybe the rubber hose/gasket is faulty on the reservoir. Could this be a symptom of something bigger than just replacing the reservoir? Thank you to anyone who responds.

I got a mirror underneath the back side of the reservoir and sure enough it is still leaking from there. Took the reservoir back off and lo and behold the o ring had been cut. I don’t know if this was when i was trying to put the new reservoir back on or when i was taking it off to check on the leak. Trying to get another o ring at the moment. Gonna replace that and give it a shot one more time. If this fixes it then i won’t end up replacing the pump/pulley. I was even considering just replacing the high pressure line along with it if this truck requires more than what i am currently doing right now on it. I will say that the reservoir is a really tight fit understandably but now i am nervous that i am putting so much pressure to get it to fit that it is damaging the o ring. Is that normal? The part that I ordered said that it fit this particular model “Dorman 603-900” so i am just trusting that its going to work.
