2011 Ranger Sport. The passenger side rear door was stuck shut, so I got a new latch, and from the new latch was able to figure out how to manually open the latch from the inside. I took off the door panel as much as I could to get to the bottom of the door, and was able to pull the latch up which opened the door! But, the door ajar light is on, and believing it might be the latch, I returned it and got another, but again, the door ajar light is staying on. I made sure the door is shut tight, sprayed WD40 in the latches of all the doors, but the light is still on as is the dome light. The dome light goes out after a bit, but I hate idiot lights, and now that it gets dark earlier it is more noticeable.
Has anyone had a similar experience they were able to solve? Is something being grounded? I have the latch in exactly like the old with the little foam piece in place, so not sure what the problem could be.
