03 ranger 4.0 possible cam sensor or ecu issues?
I just picked up a non running 2003 ranger, 4x4 automatic. It will crank but not start. Occasional the first attempt to start of the day it get a slightly sputter but that's its. There are no check engine code. Im getting good spark, the fuel filter has been replaced and the fuel pump turns on. The anti theft isn't blinking. And ive reset the inertia switch. Crank position sensor has been replaced. My cam position sensor seems to ohm out normall(450 ohms, and changed when you place it against metal) i am however not getting any voltage to the plug for the cam position sensor. Testing the wires from the plug the the main ecu plug and the check out good. Im leaning towards an issue inside the ecu. Any other suggestions?
I should mention the guy I got it off of was driving it right up until it just wouldnt start one morning, the day before drove home fine. He through some time and parts at it then gave up, and that's where I picked it up

there seems to be anti theft as the light blinks as normal then goes out, so if i swap and ecu i may need to get the key matched to the new ecu
