Pcm swap on 2008 2.3 ford ranger

I have a 2008 ford ranger xlt 2.3 with automatic transmission. I recently pulled the automatic out and swapped in a manual transmission. I have all of the mechanical side of things swapped but now must deal with the ecm. I have swapped the automatic PCM for a manual PCM out of a 2009 Ford ranger 2.3 with a manual transmission. Truck will not start with new PCM. I am able to program keys with my solus legend and programmed new keys to the auto PCM and it will start . I tried to program the keys to the the manual PCM and it shows like they programmed but truck still will not start and I have a code for theft detected. Thanks for the help

2006 and up the instrument cluster and the PCM are a matched set, Last I heard only Ford can match them together.

Ford did this so people can't just switch PCM's to steal cars, you'll need to get the instrument cluster from they truck you got the PCM from.

Thanks that is kind of what I was thinking about but I wasn't 100% I'll reach out to where I got the PCM and see if they have the cluster and of not I'll give ford a call. I appreciate the help

Will that take care of the cluster to ecm mismatch issues? I had read about the pats delete but wasn't sure about it. EDIT after reading a few of his posts on the forum I understand what he is doing now. It will not change affect the cluster and I will have to do some minor wiring after the delete
