I'm 75 and technically challenged. I have a 2021 Ranger with about 50k miles. I have the Ford Pass app and have been using it to remotely start my truck. I just had a notice on Ford Pass that I needed to update the app; when I tried to update it says I need IOS 17.6. I have an iphone 8 and have the automatic update turned on but it is looking like the 8 cannot do the IOS 17.6. I really don't want to change my phone, it does all I need and more, plus I like to have the physical home button. Is there some way around this, or a hack where I can use my remote start again. Thanks!
