Ranger Lean/Sagging

I have the classic driver side ranger lean. It sags in the rear by about 2 or 3 inches on the driver side. I want to replace the leaf springs to even it out. Has anyone ever done this before? Did it fix the sagging? My thought was, can I put 5 leafs on the driver side, and 4 leafs on the passenger? Or do both sides need the same number of leafs?

If it's leaning that far, I'd be looking for a broken spring mount or broken/bent frame.

Have you checked the rear shackles?
I the poster below may have nailed it if not.

Check the rear springs over good. I know from personal experience that you can bend the springs from overloading. When moving I had so much junk on the truck the wife said it looked like the truck on the Beverly Hillbillies show. After the trip the bed listed to port. I measured the distance between the top of the tire and the top of the wheel well on each side and found that it was an inch lower on the port side. I bought a 1" lift block set and installed only one on the left side. It solved my problem.

Thanks everyone. The shackles and frame look good. So do the leaf springs. It just sags. I think it might just be a bent spring like nelbur suggested above.
