2003 XLT with 4.0L V6 SOHC

Hoping for some help identifying what this part is. Sorry for the shotty photos, its buried at the back of the fuel rail on the drivers side. There is a red vacuum hose that comes from the air intake manifold on the drivers side that is supposed to be connected to this part at the boot at the bottom. Google seems to think its fuel system related, but for the life of me I cannot find it after scrubbing through rock auto and OEM ford parts online and the various manuals I have. Anyone got a name or part number for it?

I just went out to look at mine and couldn't see what you described.

Maybe pull back and take an orientation picture so clods like me know where to look?

Found this on Reddit this morning. It's mounted right on the rear of the fuel rail on the driver side, not easy to get to or see. I had to use an endoscope attached to my ipad to even see it. I'm convinced its the fuel pressure damper, but the one on fords website doesn't quite look like mine. Mine doesn't have the threads at the bottom or the tube coming out of the top.

It would be the fuel damper, however, that piece of fuel line, hose clamps and that bolt in the end, that is not how that should be.

That is where the fuel pressure damper should be, but somebody has been messing with it. On the passenger side there should be a pressure relieve valve (Schrader valve) at the end of the fuel rail.
